Washed away (2024)

The film Washed away tries to capture the state of shock you can feel when you lose someone you love. In the video work, I wash dresses belonging to my sick sister, hang them on a clothes rack and let them dry there. The repetitive ritual becomes an image of the desire to doubt the idea that things are as before. That the dress sways in the wind around the body, as it has always done on a person you have known all your life. Your sister.
