With her starting point in her personal history, Charlotte Thiis-Evensen puts a spotlight on the guilt and ambivalence she feels as one who is affected by a privileged life in Norway. At the junction between Suhmsgate and Kirkeveien in Oslo, a Romanian woman, Nicolina Nitica, sits, knitting socks every day between 08:00 and 17:00. Thiis-Evensen’s project consists of one installation made up of 200 pairs of socks Nicolina knit, a film about her, and a performance on the exhibition’s opening day.
